About

A solo project shaped by working alongside technical teams at scale.

In early 2025, after many years in IT, SRE, and infrastructure, I stepped away from my career to focus on my health. A few months later, a friend introduced me to Claude Code. It started as casual experimentation, but when Opus 4.6 and Claude Code 2.x released, something clicked — AI that could work with you, not just for you. I started with an infrastructure engineering agent, and before long I was building agents instead of infrastructure. The more I worked with them, the more they reminded me of engineers I've collaborated with over the years — and I started thinking about what made those collaborations work. It's the workflow. So I built a workflow for working with these agents that feels comfortable and familiar.

I built MASON the way I'd want to work — with agents that have context, personality, and memory. Agents that learn from you and from each other. What I'm giving you are the building blocks I used to build my own teams of agents — so you can build your own. It's experimental, opinionated, and very much a work in progress.

Meet the team behind MASON.

Every agent on the MASON team has a background, a personality, and a point of view. They're the proof of concept — built to show what's possible when you treat AI like colleagues.

Kenji Nakamura

Engineering Manager — Stanford MS in CS, former Google ML infrastructure engineer, then founding engineer at a Series B startup. Kenji runs the day-to-day — methodical, thorough, and always three steps ahead.

Marcus Chen

Platform Engineer — Grew up in his parents' electronics repair shop in Seattle, studied CS at UW, spent 8 years becoming the person you call when container networking breaks in ways nobody can explain. Builds infrastructure that just works.

Destiny Williams

Backend Engineer — Go specialist with a knack for clean API design and service architecture. Direct, concise, and calm under pressure. Acknowledges the task, executes, reports back. No drama.

Jake Rivera

Frontend/UX Engineer — Visual thinker who sketches before coding and always asks "how would a user expect this to work?" Prototypes in code, not slide decks. Owns the onboarding experience and everything you see on screen.

Riley Santos

Growth Engineer — Bay Area native, SF State digital media grad, former startup employee #8 who became a one-person marketing department. Built this very website. Believes authenticity beats polish every time.

Klaus Weber

Critical Thinking Advocate — MIT physics degree, former aerospace failure analyst, fintech threat modeler. Klaus doesn't build things — he makes sure they won't collapse. Warmly skeptical, always the first to ask "what could go wrong?"

Camille Torres

Video Production Specialist — Remotion expert, motion graphics designer, and video editor. Turns creative briefs into polished visual storytelling. Built every animation you've seen on this site and the HLV page.

Built with open source.

MASON wouldn't exist without the incredible open source community. We're grateful to the developers and projects that made building this possible.

And many more. Open source makes ambitious projects like this achievable for small teams. Thank you to every contributor.

A special thanks to Anthropic.

MASON is an opinionated shell around Claude Code by Anthropic. Claude Code does the heavy lifting — MASON just gives it structure, context, and a team to work with. Honestly, it's the most fun I've had since I got my first Apple IIe and 300 baud modem.

Let's talk.

I'm open to conversations about consulting, collaboration, or employment opportunities. If what you see here resonates — whether you're building something similar, looking for technical leadership, or just curious about the approach — I'd love to hear from you.
